Good luck! People have tried flashing GT2 software with no success due to something about the instrument cluster, even switching to a GT2 gauge cluster didn't work.

Keep in mind, the only thing we have not verified is how traction control (PSM) works on high G corners on the track. It has been reported when a tire leaves the ground on a loaded corner it causes PSM issues.

"Why own a model you don't want?"

Genius idea, let me just scrounge up another $80k to get a 997 GT2, can't believe I didn't think of that before

If you are going to remove the axles, you need to replace them with GT2 Stub Axles as stated earlier in this thread.

You took the clutch assembly out and left it plugged in but tied up?

No, they took a lot more out. Basically, just the electronics were left.

Quick update, with the sensors, plugged in but removed from the diff housing. The car has been working flawlessly, I have been in multiple scenarios where I experienced tire lift and zero issues with PASM. Since then I have done B16's with GT2 track spring rates, and GMG adjustable sway bars. The car performs flawlessly, and I'm able to precisely dial in the over/ understeer without the silly awd system getting in the way. RWD conversion is the best mod you can do to any 997.1 Turbo.

Would you advise installing an LSD to go with this mod? I've always read the LSD is of limited use in AWD Turbos but imagine it might make more sense after the RWD conversion.

Yes definitely, a LSD turns it into a go-kart! So much fun and hooks real well.
