So long Munich....Hello Stuttgart!
After 15 years of driving BMWs 325, 330, M3 (E46 and E92) and a long love affair with making excuses for the general lack of performance, I decided to join the big boy leagues.
Just bought a 997 Turbo today. Has a Europipe 997TT exhaust installed on it with a performance tune. Sounds sick. Feels amazing. I can't believe how fast it is.
Couple questions: Anything I should straight away do or be on the look out for? Things to update? Change? Service? Any suggestions would help. Completely new to the brand, but I'm already happy to be part of the fam.
Effin love it. #neverbeenhappier

Oh I'm not new to the forum life...lived on them for years with BMW. I was just waiting for someone to do this: (my favorite part)

Congrats and welcome. Prior to performing any maintenance on the car, do you have the car's service history? Could be the required service was just completed. Any info on mileage (there are prescribed service intervals). I wouldn't perform any work on the car prior to determining its service history, as best as possible.

Battery was replaced 4/25/13 - prolly cause the damn thing was never driven.
I'm thinking of straight away servicing fluids.
agreed. Car is stupid fast compared to my e92 M3..although it feels on par with my old C6Z06.... (which was a terrible mistake in my car history) lol...
I would first spend the small bucks and get the clear front marker light covers. Then I would just drive it for a while and see where you want to go with it. As you probably know, you can spend nothing or you can spend a whole boatload of money on this car. I started off with a low mileage stock car and gradually moulded it to what I wanted in stages. Still love it like the day I married it. Shhhhhh don't tell my wife there's another love in my life.
If you change to the clear marker light covers, keep the clear bulbs from the amber markers and put them in the clear side markers. Not legal, but looks better than the amber bulbs in the new clear light markers. Congrats on the car.
