New Garage Mate for my 997.2 TTS
New Garage Mate for my 997.2 TTS
Picked up a new 2015 991 TTS yesterday. Wow it's a beautiful machine. And the chassis/steering are incredible. It's a much more refined car compared to the 997 but also lacks the 997's visceral nature. Anyway I'm blessed to have both.
Hope you all have a fantastic holiday.
Cheers.

Awesome!! You're a balla!!
I was almost going to buy a 991 TTS Cabrio but the car just felt too big and wide inside for me. I know the machine is a beast and fast as hell though.
When you say visceral nature of the 997, what does that mean?

Congrats! I had a hard time deciding, but ultimately decided to give the GT3 a shot. The TTS is an amazing machine, enjoy it.
Just installed a sharkwerks delete on the GT3 a few hours ago. Man she screams at WOT now

Well the 997 is smaller has stiffer but more floaty suspension, more road noise and when the turbo kicks in it hits hard and the turbo spool is loud. The 997.2 has the same engine and trans as the 991 except the 997 has a bigger turbo and it makes more power even though it's rated 30 hp less. The 991 feels a lot more like a naturally aspirated engine with a flat torque curve. Lastly the 991 has electronic steering and the 997 has the older hydraulic steering which provides a lot more feedback but also vibrations. The character of the 997 is less refined but also leads to the visceral experience.
