997 Turbo - Straight pipes dyno
Hey everyone. I finally took my car over to my buddies shop to get it on the Dyno. I'm very impressed with this car. Right now the only mods I have are custom built straight pipes and a Cobb AP with an OTS map.
With the tune and pipes my car put down 529 to the rear wheels.
Just incase anyone asks, we did pull the drive shaft because the dyno isn't linked, hence the power being "to the rear wheels".
One question I had was around the sport chrono package. With the Cobb map, do I need to enable the overboost function somehow, or is it always on once the car is tuned?
Anyway, here are a few vids.

Also, here is a dyno graph. Sorry for the terrible quality.
The red line was my most recent pull. The 443 pull was a 996 fully modded that we put up there to compare.

For some reason the photo upload thing isnt working for me, so here is the link...

They can make it so it's always-on, which I believe is standard.
They can also program it to work like factory, where the base boost is higher and the overboost would come in a couple pounds higher than that.
Mitch is on the forum I'll send him the link.

Hola,
It can be set to always be on so it would be the same as Sport mode being enabled. If you are doing that I would also recommend doing a custom tune as you will be able to get a tune made specifically for your car.
If you have questions feel free to shoot us an email!

I do! Horrible! But, I don't own a dyno for a business. You would think a couple of floor fans would be in budget though.
To think of Leevg's numbers with some common dyno sense behind it?
Cooling was certainly an issue on the Dyno. We did have the two fans in the back on, and I believe the outside temp was about 18 degrees yesterday while dynoing.
That being said, my first pull was 507. The Pull immediately after that was 496. After letting the car cool for about 5-10 minutes, the third pull put down 529. Clearly these cars with stock intercoolers get heat soaked quickly.
That just means it's time for an intercooler upgrade
