Is your car lowered?

Depending on the noise could be sway bar end links. I changed the same parts as you did on my 996. They were bad. But end links were "clicking".

I'm not trying to hijack the OP's thread, but I have a noise(s) in the front end that might be the same issue.

Mine is worst during low speed parking lot/ 3 point turn type maneuvering. It sounds like the spring is binding, then "pops" once it is able to rotate. The noise is most pronounced when going full lock and changing directions, but I can induce the noise (although not nearly as loud) by turning the steering wheel back and forth while stationary. 977ttblue - does this sound similar to your issue?

My car is lowered on H&R springs and has 19,xxx miles. A suspension noise was noted by the dealer in 2011 with only 11,xxx miles. The dealer noted aftermarket springs were installed and did not address the issue

I have checked the sway bar end links and all suspension mounting points and everything is tight. I also attempted to lube the springs with silicone spray. I then rotated the springs by hand and made sure they were seated in the lower perches. You could tell when rotating the springs by hand there was debris/sand/rocks between the springs and mounts, but I would assume most every car would be the same.

Sorry to hear of your problem, just trying to help here. Over the years there have been many reports of noise in the above scenario: extreme steering angle, low parking speed. Some think it's the spring, twisting and re-seating and if this is the case, more or less harmless.

IMHO, first thing is obviously to have car on lift and inspected thoroughly by competent tuner. If no problem is found (no rub by other links, no broken link, no wrong install, sway bar moves freely, etc.), then although I am too chicken to state definitively what the right thing to do next, I could report that *IIRC* at least one person LOL has done nothing further since the chase could be futile.

I am referring specifically to extreme steering angle (that you will never see in normal driving), in parking lot speed, usually backing up. It reminds me of the infamous Porsche brake noise: not every car has brake noise, but the car that has it, is considered normal by dealers. So wrong for those who have the brake noise, but unfortunately there is no solution.

Some one told me that I have to put silicon grease on the part 11 and 12 , is that the solution?!

I get the noise occasionally backing out of a spot. Happened twice last year and never the year before, but many times the year before that!
But its a loud thud when it happens.

there is a popping/thud sound that happens in the winter months that comes from the front differential. Audible when you have the wheel turned full lock (or close to it) and are going low speeds....
