M3 Maestro's 997.1 Turbo build
LOL, I can attest to this theory. I've been bugging Sam almost daily to keep bumping it up as long as the logs look good. I think after today's update we've about
maxed out the stock injectors. I've got up to 507 air flowing through and it's just humming along with hardly no knock.

you should be making roughly 600whp at that airflow on pump. Enjoy it
LOL...
"Look Sam I'm almost out of injector just like I told you"
"Sam let's turn this think up'"
"I totally agree I want to be safe"
"Dude we need more mid range come on!"

Really it's a pleasure working with you my friend. I love working with someone who I can actually learn things from as well. Baby steps and we will get you what you need to the micron buddy! I have a great development team to ensure you are solid!

Not done yet but here is where we are vs. the final 93oct file. All my graphs are always SAE corrected since we are trying our best to compare back to back...I can't control the weather lol. Standard numbers will show a little more power.
Hoping the next revisions will continue to show improvement. The base file was roughly 20-25whp below this if I recall.

Thank you! With the right parts and a good tune you don't need to beat the crap out of it to hit nice numbers. It has more on the table but we are only maybe 1 tweak from final. It's very nice and smooth now no matter how much pressure I put in sam and his team to keep cranking it up lol. Car moves pretty darn good right now.
OK guys I think its done...below is a progression of the car from last year to this year. Enjoy all the data
I'll be ordering a vbox from Sam soon to check times but it runs pretty nice regardless where in comes in. Drives like stock or better and runs plenty quick.
Special thanks to Sam and everyone who supports ByDesign. My combination of parts only works this well because the tune brings it together. Thanks again!

Our pleasure my friend. Be safe and have a good time with it. Now you have several Maps to get you off my back and you can try them all out to see what works in different situations for you ha ha.
Well its been quite some time since I have updated the thread. Quite honestly not much to update other than just driving the car since its my daily but I think its a good time for one.
Recently I have thought about anywhere from selling the car to upgrading further to leaving it as is. I think I'm leaning towards keeping it and seeing how much further I can push the stock engine however its not a cheap mistake if something goes wrong.
But before changing the setup I really wanted to see how much more we could squeeze out of it with the current setup. Jaime's car on the TiAL 68mm VTG put the bug in me to do this since the data look great on his.
Again Sam against all logic of leaving it alone humors me and agrees to crank up the boost a tick more
. Below are the results. Keep in mind that even though I always SAE correct my files to try to keep consistency things like the intercoolers will be running at different effectiveness. Honestly it probably makes a little less that than plotted number but it is faster, roughly in the 2.5sec range now 60-100mph. There is no more air left on the table from the turbos and the injectors are maxed.
In summary need bigger inj and bigger turbos to keep going up
