When i was stock that is the same as what i saw without sport mode. Sport mode would consistently boost 1.0-1.1.
Do you have sport chrono?
Are you actually driving correctly to activate overboost?

Sounds like you have an issue. Either sticking actuator rod(s), or boost leak somewhere. I would take it in and have it checked....With sport mode, you should be spiking to 1.2 bar (~17.5 psi).
Assume you know this? But you have to quickly mash the gas pedal to the floor and you will see a small up arrow next to the boost gauge on the dash. That is how you can tell you have activated overboost.
Either way, you should see 1 bar (!14.5 psi) without sport mode. It will likely not stay there, but should spike there.

Great advice from members above. Highly suggest getting a means to datalogging your car. Durametric is one way of logging it cheap but it can drop connections and it isn't really great. It also requires a laptop connected in the car while logging. Another way is to run a boost gauge to a vacuum line going to your diverter valves on either one of the turbos and looking at the gauge in the car. Last but certainly not least and highly recommended is to get a Cobb Accessport. You get full datalogging functionality, diagnostics and ability to work with a protuner to custom tailor a tune for your car/modifications/octane needs.

997.1 ECU throttling Boost to 1Bar or 15#
Hi Guys,
This is a new to me car. 2007 997.1 Turbo with a mild Switzer ECU tune to 600HP on 93 octane. The car was in the stereoscope and when I picked it up it seemed like it has been neutered. Only makes 15# of boost instead of 20. It's been in the shop for 10 days for Leak Tests, valve tests, CAM tests, etc.. All good. No codes. We did replace the MAF sensors... After speaking to Tym at Switzer, he thinks for some reason the ECU is limiting the boost to 1bar or 15#. I explained all the tests we have done and he said it COULD be bad gas. If the ECU sees any pinging or detonation, it will not allow full boost. When I picked the car up form the stereo shop it was out of almost out gas. I have since filled it up and ran thru that tank (93) and it still throttling itself at 15#. So, my question is, "what else would the ECU see that would make it hold back boost"? Thanks much... -Dan
