Best solution for Bluetooth/music

I've had it with the antiquated iPod stuffed in the frunk..... Constant need to download/update music. What's the newest best solution to handle streaming music from iPhone ?

Thanks in advance

Not sure what you are using ir what gen but i will assume a 997.1 (this would work on a .2 too i think)

While i havent done this myself your best solution would be to buy...

-Most-Hur wiring harness
-The plastic double din surround (grey or black depending on gen to make it look as factory as possible)
-New double din gps/nav/radio
---should have apple car play or even built in apps on the unit itself. If you want to save a little money you could even get an older one with streaming bluetooth music from your iPhones bluetooth or even older still just an aux input and run a single wire to the headphone jack. All of these relatively easy. Apple carplay is the newest tech but the others work for other phones and stuff too.

As far as music on the iphone there are tons of ways. For free i like pandora but have heard good things about iheart radio. For pay, apple music and spotify are popular. All these mean no more downloading music.

I just installed the $75 Tranzit Blu this weekend in my 997TT and I've really been impressed with it. I've streamed Spotify, Amazon Music, and Podcasts without a hiccup. It also allows for hands free calling.

Here's the install link...took me ~2hrs at a slow pace:

I am looking at doing this on mine also. Did you source it from Amazon? Doing a quick search I come up with the following:

Amazon.com: iSimple ISFM22 TranzIt Universal Bluetooth Enabled FM Transmitter Car Kit for iPhone or iPod, Blue: Cell Phones & Accessories Amazon.com: iSimple ISFM22 TranzIt Universal Bluetooth Enabled FM Transmitter Car Kit for iPhone or iPod, Blue: Cell Phones & Accessories

I have a Mobridge system in my 997.1. It's more expensive that TransIt, but it works very well. I think the primary differences are that is taps directly into the MOST system (as opposed to FM modulation), and music and phone calls can be controlled using the PCM unit.

I have XM radio on mine and it shows al the channels/artists/info on the stock dash - I don't know how that was done. The stereo sounds great, even over the loud exhaust (I am sure the speakers have been upgraded as I also have Bose subs on a tiny little box that fits on the back (no seats and w/a cage)-- and by loud exhaust, I mean the lack thereof since I have pretty much straight pipes).

I would be content if I can route an aux chord to the system - has anyone done that in a 997.1 turbo?

Thanks!

I did exactly the same, and upgraded the amplifier. It all works very well and as you say is controlled by the PCM. All looks completely stock (nothing to see and completely reversible if desired).

I just want to share that I installed the Isimple unit (Tranzit) through amazon as well as the antenna adapter through discount stereo and it works amazingly well!

The install which Gavram shared is spot on and it took approx 30 min to do (one of my techs did the work as i own a repair shop).

Thank you Gavram for sharing the product here, I really appreciate it!
