Question Intercooler question for GT2

Hey everyone,

Thinking of putting a set of EVOMS Intercoolers on my GT2 and EVOMS High Flow Turbo Inlet Ducts.. Have any of you had any experience with either of those items? (on a GT2 if possible) but any advice is much appreciated.

also, Are the factory GT2 RS intercoolers any different from the GT2 ones?

Open to other brand comparisons as well.

Thanks for any help!

-E

It depends on what mods you have and how hard you push the car. Feel free to reach out if I can help with anything.

Coolers on the GT2 RS are different and very good from the money. Best value intercooler out there but ends can leak if used hard on track

Ok ill check those out... Why do you like them better then evoms?

Car is mostly street, but occasionally hit the track

Yeah i think this stuff is about as far as ill go with mods on this car, not looking to do anything drastic.. car is already wickedly fast. just trying to do some easy stuff that actually gives you some extra gains. Did you notice a difference with adding those pipes?

The AMS log pretty awesome! You have enough turbo to make that car pretty fast just with these few upgrades and a custom tune.

Our 997.1/997.2 intercoolers are probably some of the highest rated aftermarket options out there, if I do say so myself. From our extremely high quality core material and end-tank design to the OEM fitment (no cutting required), we've sold over 200 sets so far and counting. The combination of cooling properties and increased flow are almost unmatched. Never heard a complaint. Emre at ES Motor even uses them on some of his highest HP 997 builds.

And of course, let me know if I can hook you up with a good 6Speed member deal.

I didn't know your kit was plug and play in terms of making them fit the ducts. No trimming even?

I'd check out SRM's (Silly Rabbit Motorsports) 4.5" intercoolers as well. Not as many reviews about them as other intercoolers for the 997tt's on here, but they use the same cores as their widely popular 991tt intercoolers. To add, for $1900 they're a bargain, even of great value compared to 997.2 gt2rs intercoolers with the advantage of having welded end tanks that won't leak. I'm curious of how good they are on 997.2tt's as well as the options are more limited for .2's to AMS and champion, and as the .2's already have a superior intercooler design compared to the .1's.

ETS 3.5" coolers are another good option in the same price range as gt2rs coolers which also have welded end tanks.

Thank you for the feedback! Do you know what size the factory ones are? also do the SRM ones fit like factory or need fabrication
