Question Battery disconnect question?

Hey guys,

Curious if disconnecting the battery from my car for an extended period of time can do harm to either the car or the battery? Ive had one of the leads off the battery for a few weeks now.. Had to disconnect in order to remove some electrical parts from the interior. Ive kept a little battery maintainer connected to the battery since I've disconnected.

Any insight is much appreciated, thank you!

Ok sounds good, thanks guys.. I was worried the ECU might freak out being without power for so long and then reconnecting at some point.

C1Forged is infamous around these parts
Everything will be fine. Just make sure on the first fire up to start the car and just let it idle for a good 10 minutes for the ECU to re-learn the system.

It won't learn much beyond idle fueling.

Best to just drive the car normally. As this occurs the DME will do all the learning it needs.

Its typically less of a computer re-learn, and more of a fuel learn, as letting gas sit for extended periods of time can be interesting when you get dilution during boost. Happens more so with e85, but gas can still be problematic.

Put Stabil 360 in the gas tank and run it enough so that all the fuel lines have the Stabil in them. I swear by it in my turbo.

You might also want to pull the fuel pump fuses and crank it for a bit to get oil pressure since it sat that long.
