There have been a couple of threads out there in the past few years with interest in the ethanol world, so I decided to add another to the forum for those who are still on the fence. My car is a 997.1 Turbo, 6spd manual, purchased bone stock about 6 months ago. With much forum reading on here and rennlist, I originally wanted to do a FBO and eventually 3076's on pump gas. After some continued reading and multiple discussions with Mitch @ Cobb, I decided to look into their stage 3 OTS map available, with potentially running 100 octane. THEN I looked into the availability of ethanol in the area, and with some swaying of multiple tuners, I decided to give it a try.
Let's start off with the aftermarket bits on the car so we're all aware:
The car runs an drives like stock. The only issue (which I knew would be) is cold startups. Ethanol and big injectors are an issue with any car, and it takes a good 4 seconds to get the car started on a COLD start. Other than that, I had one stall in cold weather in traffic. No other issues.
WOT IMPRESSIONS:
The car pulls hard, and boost kicks on really, really hard. A bit too strong for my liking (as that bends rods), but that's only if you're matting it at low rpm and letting the snails spool up hard. If you matt it at 4k rpms, the 'neck snap' isn't nearly as bad.
The car has not seen the dyno yet, but I was able to log some pulls last night in the cold temps. (45°F)
I'm also waiting to hear feedback from my local tuner, and from Mitch to hear their thoughts. I was able to pull the logs and put together a simple spreadsheet of the key variables for viewing. I will update the thread with further info from the tuners as I get it.
A BIG thank you goes to Joe and Ryan over at AIM Performance in north Jersey. These guys know Porsche Turbo's like no other. Top notch performance and I wouldn't suggest anyone else to work on my car.
*NOTE: with the new coolers, my IAT's never go 10° over ambient. Such a great purchase. *NOTE: all logs at WOT with E85 have 0 knock in each cylinder

As I mentioned above, the car has yet to hit the rollers. This is simply a first impression thread on the OTS map and some highway logs. But generally guys are picking up ~100whp going from pump gas to E85
Had a few runs last night with some nicely powered mustangs. I wanted to get my 60-130 time and compare to others. Best of the night was 6.7 seconds. If I flat-shifted better I think I could squeeze 6.6 or mayyyybe 6.5 if I'm lucky. This was through 3 gears (2 shifts). I'll see what 2 gears and 1 shift will yield at another time.

try 0 and 1 shift 60-130 pulls. use vboxtools website and throw up some graphs on here
now with just one shift from 3rd to 4th gear, I was able to accomplish a 6.5 60-130!
This car rips!
Very nice!
As mentioned, try rolling into it at 40-50mph in 4th only = 0 shifts as that take away the shift time and it out of the equation altogether. I consistently get 0.1-0.2 slower when I do 3-4th (I DO NOT FLAT FOOT SHIFT!).
DO A CUSTOM TUNE!: You have at lease a 6.3-6.2 with a custom tune from PTF, Robtune, Mitch, Sam (ByDesign) etc. & if you go cat-less you are a 5.9-6.2 with a custom tune!!
These cars are just wonderful with basic bolt-ons and CORN!!
I saw the logs. The car looks great. Sure we could go a little bit faster but for my taste she is right there and just shows that sometimes OTS hits it on the head. On E85 we could easily squeeze more out of it but in my opinion there's no sense in cooking turbo chargers to go a tiny bit quicker. I would sleep better keeping an eye on this car just the way she is for nice long run of enjoyment.

I'm glad to hear this! I've gotten back a nice chunk of feedback from a number of tuners and members on the board, and for the most part everyone has said the same thing.
My max injector duty cycle looks to peak 86%. If ever I want to upgrade the twins, I'll also have to upgrade injectors.
For an OTS map with the above setup, I'm impressed.
