They used to be. Now TiAL uses in house brand Xona which are pretty trick. Billet SS center sections and full race design. Configurations are almost endless. The XR980 is a solid 1000hp turbo and has been pushed to 1200. On a stock motor it's all about guts haha.

sounds close enough. I have personally seen Xona HTZ based alpha30s do 800whp on 93 and almost 1050whp on E85 on my friends 997 with a built motor. if pump gas power is what you are after these will stomp any VTG on pump gas only. using old HTA3076 my 997 was doing 5.5-5.6s 60-130 on 93 stock motor..... there is no way you can achieve that on a VTG without using meth, e85 or racefuel.

If I can hit high 5s or low 6s for 60-130 on pump gas consistently without grenading the stock engine it will be more than a worthwhile upgrade

You will. It just feels different too. Not for everyone and the VTG config is pretty nice. I think you have gotten to that point that it's the right move.

Ive driven a Xona pump stock engine car, welcome to lag city. Maybe it wasnt setup properly who knows.

I dont know how 997 plantform guys handle this power. Short wheelbase and the 997 chassis is already all over the place at 700whp.

Syvecs with real traction control, R888R tires, and GT2 spec rear wheels. You also actually want to take some camber out of the rear so the tires sit flat under full squat. They go surprisingly straight.

Prodigy, what turbos did you end up going with?

That's also what comes to my mind when pulling the 6th since I'm >40 years old!
Consequences are dramatic at these speeds, especially if on open roads...
The good thing with 1000hp cars is they offer so much response you don't need high speeds to get pleasure.
Most of the time I play from 3rd to 5th and that's all. (No grip enough on open roads with the PSC2 on the first gears and too much speed on 6th)
