Smile New Turbo S owner

Hi All!

I just purchased a new 2011 Turbo S! It has been packed up and is on the truck on its way to me. I totally can’t wait for the car to arrive! It’s been along time since I’ve been behind the wheel of a turbo and my last car was a 996 twin turbo. Looking forward to seeing the difference in the way this one handles! Any advice for a new owner?

Welcome!! Great choice, she looks beautiful. My only recommendation is to get a solid aftermarket exhaust in there so you can hear the engine sing. I have the 3inch speedtech, and love it. I would not rush to change anything else!

Stunning! I love the 997 bodywork in black. I hope the weather won't hamper your intentions to drive it upon arrival. I agree with getting an aftermarket exhaust if it does not have one, and also a proper torque wrench for those CL wheels if you like wrenching on your own wheel sets.

Did the car come with any mods?

Thanks guys! I’m looking at possibly an aftermarket exhaust system. Cargraphic or europipe. Otherwise I plan to leave it as is.

Yea, change your head unit to something modern. I could not stand the factory unit and went with the latest Kenwood CarPlay solution while upgrading the amp and speakers. Never looking back.

An easy option would be to by a Bluetooth dongle and hook it up to the AUX. But downside is you wont be able to view tracks or control the music from your head unit.
