oil level sensor

oil level sensor
I have a 2012 911 turbo s. After driving it at Sebring the oil level light started coming on, on and off the track. It will reset and show that the oil level is full. How difficult it it to change this senor or could it be some other electoral problem.

Check the wiring, cant hurt, wired pretty simply. pull the cluster, remove blue connector. On the blue connector you can pin out the oil level sensor, (just dont stick anything in to large that will spread apart the pins so they wont read when you reconnect.) On the blue connector pin 2 is signal/ pin 18 is ground. You can check all the wiring right here including sesnor resistance (shoud read 18-25 ohms between the 2 pins) could just be a bad new sensor (if only)and wiring for an open circuit from pin 2 on connector to pin 2 on sesnsor and pin 18 on connector to pin 4 on the sensor (should read <5 ohms) . Check for short to ground from pin 2 or 18 (should read open circuit or OFL). Then again maybe the cluster just took a dump. good luck. hope it helps
Sounds like a place to start.
