It has to be gearing. Does anyone know if the 997TT hits 60 in first gear with the tip?
Also, if the over boost option only avaliable with sports chrono package? Is the overboost available on manual cars?

it seems to me that the tip is virtually identical to that in the previous turbo. Porsche seem to market the HELL out of anything new. and yet i haven't noticed any mention in all the marketing hype for the 997 TT about a new tiptronic.
'course i could be totally wrong...

I would never get a TT with an automatic, I don't care how fast it is 0-60. That is purely aimed at the banker who wants to lease one, who doesn't know squat about porsches. Basically porsches' way of dumbing down the TT for a certain customer demographic.
