DME Thoughts- 997.1 Turbo

Couldn't agree more. Its getting ridiculous how much people let these reports affect their buying decision. I'm not saying some can't be bad, if you have 200 ignitions in range 6 sure pass on it, but in this case i'm sorry to the op, this car was 100% fine with no engine damage possible. The fact you passed on it because of 2 ignitions in range 4 is IMO ridiculous. Thats my opinion and i mean no disrespect.

the DME report is the tool for everyone who's just STARTING to learn about these cars. 99% of them are nothing to worry about
I bought my car without requesting one, and I'm sure that with my custom tune I would see something in range 4, but I've never missed a shift and the motor is strong.

You are good to go...if the PPI checks out I would not hesitate to buy a car with one slight stage 4 overrev noted in the DME. My 2 cents anywho. Having said that I would not be happy with the dealership that "transported" it.
