So I am changing out my lid for an aerokit and have made a start to stripping out the lid I have removed the 2 microswitches from the holder however the wiring is still held at the top of the ram does this just lever out as well ?what do you do with these once removed ?
I think you might be the first to scratch build one. The replacement wiring harness is half of the equation, the dealership needs to code out deploy able wing. Then you wont get dash lights. IIRC the repacement harness was $130 and took 10 minutes to install. $130 is worth it to me to not cut up the factory harness and my time.
Rennkit makes a resister kit to trick you computer into thinking its doing its thing. $120. I actually have sitting in a box un used as I ended up wanting to keep my stock harness stock.
My advise, retain your stock harness in case you want to switch back, buy the factory fixed wing harness for $130ish, have the dealer code out the pop up spoiler and be happy.
This. All you need to do is code the module with a Durametric Pro that tells the car it's a fixed wing. On my RUF car I bought it with the normal fixed RUF bi-plane wing and converted it to active Aero, went into the modules and turned active aero back on. If I remember correctly it had to be coded in 2 places. Leave the two microswitches connected and tape them in the closed position. That's how mine were before I converted back to active and I didn't get any dash warnings. Now fully active, no warning lights either.

I think from reading in the first quote, you need either the harness or the code out, not both. The second also does not need a code out.

in fact, our MicroModule Device is a bit more than a “resistor kit”. Actually it’s a custom printed circuit board with processor and LEDs about the size of a small postage stamp. Hooks up to factory wires, prevents the dreaded spoiler warning. A video here:
Just to add some more info if anyone is removing the wiring the pic below shows how to remove micro switches and wiring loom is disconnected from a plug in the right hand side of the engine bay and the whole loom can be removed,
