Picked up a CPO 2012 Turbo S

The car was at Porsche Nashua..should get it end of next week hopefully. The car is in great mechanical condition with full service records and history. It has 57,000 miles on it and cosmetically maybe a 7/10. I think it can be recovered most of the way cosmetically (mostly interior leather, dash surface and center consoles with a few nicks here and there). It's Basalt Black Metallic and Carrera Red interior. I had to adjust to driving it (front end lightness) when I test drove it (first ever test drive of a Turbo). What was striking to me was how stiff and tightly wound everything felt...steering, accelerator, overall rigidity, suspension, feel of the controls etc. The car had Fabspeed headers, Sharkwerks exhaust with stock cats and Fabspeed tips. As per the dealer the ECU was stock but there was no way for me to know. The car felt incredibly tight and fast and I could clearly hear the turbos spooling up (maybe due to Fabspeed headers)?. I did not go more than 75% throttle during the test drive and it felt fast enough for me. I asked the dealer to swap in factory headers since the Fabspeeds had a hairline crack. From researching this it sounded like there might not be much to be gained at stock or near stock power levels with aftermarket headers, and that the factory headers were better?

Few pics here from the PPI.....The car has PPF on full front clip, headlights and side mirror housings.

The Spyder wheels are nice but looks like the PO may have had it painted over the original finish and it's peeling everywhere, I might get them powder coated to a satin finish. Also is there any way to refurbish the centerlocks?..

I have also attached some of the cosmetic stuff from the interior, I am hoping most of this can be recovered. Even though this is full leather it does not look like leather on the center console. Never seen that kind of peeling on the dash before, is that common?

Any thoughts on warranty? I got a couple of quotes from mjourdan but it looks like the dealer is offering cheaper option through VSC/Porsche. The car is at 57,000 miles. I am looking to get max coverage and Mikes offer was 5 yrs/60K $500 deductible - $7,740. Same option with $250 deductible was $9,733.35 with the 55% discount.

Due to the mileage the cost will be higher that what I paid but it's a great idea for extended warranty, just in case.

I bought a 6 yr. / 60k mile Fidelity Platinum with a $250 deductible for $5500.00 back about a year an a haft ago.

Yup will do...will post up pictures after getting it cleaned up and detailed etc...interior restoration may take some more time. I might do the DSC thing but not sure what it does to CPO. Amazing how tight and rattle free the car is after 57k miles. The sunroof shade does rattle over uneven surfaces and bumps but the dealer is looking to fix that.

I wouldn't think DSC would do anything to a CPO! It's like a 8-10 min swap anyway. Did you see my install vid?

Damn that's a great price! I don't think Mike can even do a 6yr/60K due to the mileage on the car. Since it is CPO (2 years) I am effectively getting only 3 years of coverage with any additional warranty. I think the car is really well sorted out so I might consider just going for the Gold option (which covers big ticket items anyway) which will give me a 5yr/60K for around $4880 for $500 deductible, or $5960 for $250 deductible.

Will do. Pretty much ordered all leather pieces from EO to replace damaged dash, steering wheel and cover, center console, headlight switch bezel, ignition bezel, door handles. You can go totally crazy with the stuff he has but I wanted to do these areas and then see if I want to do more. Also getting wheels powder coated, trying to figure out if I want to stay factory silver or go satin. Getting exhaust tips powder coated too.
