Erik...Great find!
The 997 faster than a Carrera GT in every section...even in the braking
Just astonishing. Would be awesome to see a comparison on the kilometer between the 997 TT and the GT.
Thanks Erik for your post

Need 0-160-0 kmh

Thanks for hosting the scans. At the horsepower levels of these cars, a more meaningful comparison would be 0-160-0 km/h or, better yet, 0-150-0 mph. Cars like the CGT barely start to breathe at 160 kmh, so a 0-100-0 kmh is mostly an excercise in off the line traction and short braking. Not too surprising then that the 997TT wins given its phenomenal awd grip and short gearing.

The 997 turbo is nice, but I have a very hard time believing it is faster than a CGT in ANY category. Really, 480 hp vs 612 hp? Then there is the weight issue. 0 to 62 mph, back down to 0? What is that all about? Let's try 0 to 150 mph, back to 0. Any test to make the newest model look good or better than the last one. Sounds like good marketing to me.

It isn't hard to believe that a 911 turbo can be faster to 60 mph. The turbo is AWD, the carrera GT has so much power that it is difficult to put down. A car like a carrera GT really gets in stride past 60. The test should be 0-100-0, the carrera GT then would be putting up faster numbers of course.

You know, it just goes to show how ahead of the curve porsche is because of the top 15, they take 7 of those 15 spots, with cars new and old dating from 1997 to 2006!

Yeah 0 to 100 would have been the better test by far

Vudu will become famous soon enough
WOW that's impressive! I hear what you guys are saying about a better test being a 0-100mph-0, but when it comes to the oldest test of them all (wanna race to the next traffic light?) there's no question which car I'd choose!

The biggest surprises I noticed were:
1) How far ahead the 997TT is over the 996TT compared to 996TT vs 993TT
2) That the Gallardo beats its bigger brother!

Of course, questions will be asked about the variable factors here like driver ability, tyres, fuel tank loads, etc... but hey, I'm not gonna argue with a result like that! If anything, it proves that 0-100kph-0 has very little to do with who has more HP as you have to jump down 7 places to get to a less powerful car (996GT2) than the TT.

Damm that's pretty crazy and very impressive, although to 60 witht he turbos awd i dont doubt its quicker then the CGT, but then i do, CGT is insanely fast and nimble in every category!
