I would be interested to see if anyone has come up with any modifications to your 997 TT wheels? Anyone paint, powdercoat, chrome, etc... Show some pictures and let everyone see your results.

We've done quite a few sets lately. Most are painting the interior well and the side edge of each slat, where it's gray now. On some colors, it is a nice touch (darker colors do better).

I was thinking of powercoating or painting the entire wheel to a satin black or flat black finish on my basalt blk exterior....

Do you have any pictures? My exterior is basalt black. I was thinking about painting the gray accent to match the exterier. Do you think this would look better than leaving it original?

Midnight Blue Metallic, just like the TT it's sitting on. The inner well and each edge of each spline is Midnight Blue Metallic.

The wheels look stunning. This was an option but not available when i ordered my car. How easy is it to powder coat the wheels, cost, time? Thanks

I think these are Porsche's worst "top-end" wheels in a LONG time (looks-wise). When the first Turbo twists came out, they had new tech (hollow spokes) and looked great. When the 997 Turbo wheels were seen on the prototypes, even the mags like Evo and Car suggested they wouldn't be the final design.

Oh well - to each his own. The paint does improve them, but I would ditch them ASAP.
