Whilst not a racetrack as such I had a go at Millbrook proving ground in the Uk where a lot of mags and manufacturers test the cars over some different terrains (handling course,Alpine road simulation,High speed bowl, and mile long straights for acceleration and braking runs.),I was actually thinking of selling mine when it arrived as was not over impressed with it on my original test drive, but it blew me away on the track and testing circuits.I think for highly skilled drivers there will be more fun cars out there to use on a track, but the majority of people its simply awesome, and I cannot actually imagine a way of getting from a to b quicker on good driving roads.

Tracked mine twice already, and prob 2-3 more times this year. The TT just eats up the track. Even a Noble in my run group fell behind when the curves came up because the AWD allowed me to put the power down a lot more than a rwd car can. It is VERY easy to push this beast to my limits. No one showed up in my rear view mirror on my last day at Lime Rock. Kinda hard on the tires though.
Drove it like I stole it.

Bone stock. I plan on getting a trailer soon. Better to carry wet tires and stuff. Here is a few pics from Lime Rock.

And my favorite one. Look who is behind me in the background. I lost him shortly after that.

That was a DE (drivers education) day with the SCDA. Porsche Club has them too, so does BMW. You don't need to have a BMW to join and it's worth it because the fee for the day is lower for members. I have Oct 20 and Nov 3rd lined up. Possibly Nov 4 too.

Coming off the left hander at Lime Rock.

Oops! Maybe at the end of the straight from outside the track.

Mussel, you did the AMG challenge at Lime Rock last year, right? Thought I read that somewhere. I was there for the Grad program - did the one at Homestead the year before.

I love Limerock to death, so much fun! Man, how is the 997tt on there, how's the steering and road feel through the steering wheel and so on? How does the car feel suspension wise going into sport with the dampened shocks and suspension?? This car is so impressive!

I tracked mine at Willow Springs.
Wish I knew that track a little better, I was not driving with confidence.
It was also quite a change for me. I'm only used to having 280 hp and RWD on a 997 C2S with H&R Coilovers and slicks.
Driving the 997TT (i've never owned a car with this much hp before) and driving on stock suspension and street tires, needless to say, I need a few more days before I'm comfortable to give a good review.

I kept trying to set the damned sport chrono to give me lap times and such but I never got it working right. --

I have played with the chrono a bit. It looks like you can only time every other lap because you will throe your time off when you take the few seconds to reset it to zero. PITA, or I just need to read the instructions.

Mussle,

I think you just need to set it in conjunction with the nav. Then the nav unit will record each lap..
However, I still did not get it to work right.

I would still love to hear your impressions of the steering and road feedback of the suspension and so on, overall driving experience! I am looking to pick one up but have not driven one or even gotten a ride yet. :/ Please list the pros and cons from your point of view, I appreciate it

Going into sport mode is like night and day. You can feel the change instantly. Reg mode has a very comfortable ride, yet still handles nicely, I take some exits at 80 with ease. This is my first Porsche so I don't have anything to compare it to except my SL55, and there is no comparason possible there. I am finding the car very easy to drive at the limits (my limits too) You can push it hard into a turn and it goes around, push it a lot harder to break traction and it still is very controlable, and still goes around. I think one of the reasons that I pulled away from the Noble was the 997TTs ability to apply more power to the track in the turns, and apply is sooner than a RWD car. I am also assuming that the 997TT is easier to drive fast than the Noble. I only got it slightly sideways once, and easily corrected it.
