Wheel Spacers

Any one installed wheel spacers on the 997 turbo yet? if so where did you get them and which size, 5mm, 6mm etc, front/rear.
The car desperately needs them IMHO.

Thanks in advance !

Did you lower the car? If so then they tuck in a lot.. if you're stock ride height I wouldn't go more than 5mm...

Sharky,

Still stock ride height, just wanted to pull the wheels out a bit make them fill the space outward a little. That is what I assumed no more than 5mm.

Thanks for reply,

I did it on my 07 997tt.... 15mm in the rears and 7mm in the fronts made by H&R with the longer stud bolts! Looks much more aggressive and aligns better wtih no rubbing issues whatsoever!!!!!

My friend who owns a wheel shop told me that running spacers on any high performance car is a no no even whith the longer bolts, he has seen many cases where the wheels have come off. Just a concern.

I don't understand how spacers could cause a wheel to come off come off. Anyone?

If you put them on you HAVE to make sure the mounting hardware is longer too. 5mm spacer = 5 mm longer bolts.

You'd be surprised how many people figure thety can avoid that last step. The end result often is one of your wheels passing you on the freeway one day.

Well, I got me some 5mm spacers coming from Mr. Vipertestarossa and should have them in about a week. I will post pics of the before and after look.
Good thing about the 5mm you get to re-use the OE wheel bolts.

Thank you Ron for your help regarding this.
