New Turbo Tiptronic available.

I just had a customer back out of an ordered 997 Turbo Tiptronic.
So this is a nice opportunity to offer this car on the forum.

The car is Basalt Black Metallic with Black interior with Sport Chrono Package etc.
It is currently in the port and will arrive at our dealership on Wednesday Nov 22nd. We will offer the car at MSRP ($ 130,415.00), not over sticker.
It's a pretty rare car, because it's a Tiptronic.

I will try to attach a PDF file with the specs later.

If you are interested in this car, please give me a call at 610-886-1000.

i am not making a critical statement, but i was on the waiting list at your dealership for a few months and got no place. now i see that you are having a spate of cancelled orders from buyers. i already have taken delivery of a 997 turbo, but maybe your dealership should have paid more attention to people like me who were/are serious buyers. i wish you luck in selling the car.

FYI, this is only the first cancelled order that we got. The 2 other Turbo's we offered on this forum were extra cars that Porsche gave us. The only way to be on our waiting list, is to give us a deposit. This would have generated a purchase order and then a spot on our list. I'm not sure who your sales person was, and if you ever gave us a deposit. A lot of people ask to be on a waiting list, but are not willing to put a deposit down. This will not result in a spot on the list. As far as I'm concerned, this separates the serious from the maybe not so serious buyers. If you ever gave us a deposit, I can't imagine you didn't get a spot.

i gave your dealership a $1000 deposit. the salesman was the gentleman who is a retired policeman and a pilot (david manley?). all that gave me was a spot on your waiting list, where i sat for a few months. i was never given the opportunity to spec out or order a specific car. finally, i found the people at princeton porsche, who took my order and delivered an october build to me last week. your dealership did refund the $1000, without problems. i was a serious buyer

I checked out what happened. When you gave us your deposit, our list already had a substantial amount of customers in front of you. Our spots were filled up until December allocation. We didn't have our January to June allocations at that time. I'm sure that Dave took you serious since he took your deposit, but he just didn't have an allocation to give you at that time. You would have ended up with a January or February slot. Then you got lucky and had Princeton give you an earlier allocation that they had available.

I'm sure you are enjoying your Turbo, like all our customers are.
What color did you end up getting?

Erik

guards red with a tan or beige interior. the only options were the turbo sports chrono, limited slip and heated seats. david was very pleasant to deal with. you are right-i did get lucky. when i called princeton in august, the customer who had their october allocation backed out several minutes before i called them. i only had several days to change his order, which i did. i have only had the car for a few days, but i will put pictures of it up. again, i hope that you sell the turbo soon.

Correct, April, mine is a midnight blue version of yours. Don't worry, you're better off without a tip anyway, they'll be the red headed stepchild as soon as the pdk comes out in '08, nobody will want one.

i am happy for you. if every porsche had that kind of demand, you'd be making more money than the c4s surgeon. have a happy holiday season.

you are probably right chris. i have had a 996tt, and this one is better. you will really enjoy your car. it has unbelievable acceleration. i only have had it a few days, so i have to limit my rpms-i can't imagine what it is like when i can rev the engine. are you a general surgeon? i am an internist/intensivist.
