July build: Any discount by then?
July build: Any discount by then?
Placed a deposit yesterday on a July build for an '08. If you look into your crystal ball what kind of discount (if any) do you think I'll see.
Oh yeah, for the good part: Here's my spec (subject to change
but I don't think so).
Slate Grey
Black full leather
Adaptive Sport seats
LSD
rocker panel painted
sport chrono
mats (this one kills me)
Heated seats
thicker sport steering wheel
leather door finishers
crest in headrests (not sure about this, but for $270 or so at this point...)
short shifter (either dealer or factory if they change)
Now comes the hard part. I am not used to waiting for cars. My dealer also thinks It may be a good idea to try to get rid of my car around April as it may fetch more as opposed to end of summer. He's probably right, but it will suck to not have a nice car for the summer.

Another alternative to the discount off sticker would be to start hounding your dealer about getting you tax credits. Alot of times they are awarded a certain number of tax credits per month - my salesman did and it saved me $8k in taxes.

No. I traded in nothing. Most financial corps (Porsche Financial included) take in alot of lease returns and trade-ins every month. As I understand it, this allows them to apply these trade-ins towards new financing deals, thus they can extend trade-in tax credits to anyone they choose to. I learned this from a leasing agent, and have gotten tax credits on my last two deals - 997tt and XC90.
