I hear the turbo is around 140 -150 k ballpark in the states.....

Just picked p my Cayenne S after servicing and the dealer had a new Turbo, after taxes, try 195,699 sticker price......ouch.

did I mention its a 40%tax on luxury vehicles in Puerto Rico?

PS: carreras are @ 130s

in the states, you can get a turbo with turbo sports chrono, lsd and heated seats for 127k. was your cayenne considered a lux vehicle? what are the criterea for a lux vehicle?

MSRP in the states for the 997 Turbo is $122,900.00
MIne was $129,640.00 with options. You only really "need" a couple options, as the rest are cosmetic and you will lose the money anyway on trade-in. The must haves in my opinion are
Sport Chrono Turbo
Axle Differential Lock (limited slip)
Sport Shifter (no longer available option, but was avail when I ordered mine)
Heated Seats
6Disk Changer(since somehow, Porsche offers neither sat radio or i pod integration in its 911's....Retarded if you ask me)

I personally also got supple leather which I would not get again, I would get the sport seats(no cost option) and adaptive sport seats which make the seats fully electriclly adjustable

I also got standard rocker panels painted exterior color from the factory, I think I would pass on that as well since my car is black anyway...Any other color though I would get it along with front lip spolier painted exterior color and rear valance painted exterior color. It looks strange to say have a silver car and have black all around the bottom of car

The car is very well optioned as it is

Mine was $156,875 on the sticker, every option available I understand. I don't care because I'm keeping it.

isnt Puerto Rico a US protectorate? (sp) Are'nt Puerto Rican's US citizens? Dont they pay US taxes? Why would there be any customs or duty for bringing a car there? I know its not a "state" but...

I think I missed that day in school...

Could someone explain?

Thanks

were a "commonwealth" if you will, US citizens, cant vote for president, no seat in congress, not a state either..politics aside, we get screwed on the tax due to our state government, not the federal gov. It gets taxed...welllll, because they can !!
