It refers to a torque converter automatic transmission. The "slush box" comes from the desire to make shifts so smooth they all blend (or slush) together. Now it's a derogatory term since automatics frequently hunt for (and fail to find) the right gear.

PDK/DSG/S-Tronic are a completely different kettle of fish...

I love the "fail to find", so true.

Octanemia is infamous around these parts
The GT2 should always be wild... no PDK!
the only thing these new gears are good at the track is they can hold make you enter a turn faster, by holding the gear and
maintain high rpm as in Heel-toeing in the manual, but not eveybody can do it.

I understand what you're saying, but it's not quite true. The advantage is not losing the powerband while dropping or climbing gears. It's like a motorcycle... Don't rule it out until you try it. I guarantee a DSG/PDK/S-Tronic car will kick major A at an autocross because it will staying on-boost and/or in the powerband all the time. Also, the car is up to .5 sec quicker to 60mph no matter what the application is.

All I am hoping for is that Porsche makes the 997GT2 as raw and as special as the 996GT2 with more rawness to it.
The GT2 stands for something special and does not need creature comforts of the regular Turbo. I would not want it if one of the options was a tippy transmission is what I wanted to say, that just would not be right for a GT2 no matter how much quicker to 60mph it makes it.
A PDK I would consider a step up and I am assuming is what is holding up Porsche from unveiling it.

for #2. Porsche 997GT3 and the RS... since they have the same engine and exhaust setup... and as far as current production cars 997GT3 stands #1 for sure!

I'd still take a F430 sound, the stock porsche exhaust (excluding CGT) hasnt grwon on me yet. In fact there arent many stock exhausts that I like, most of them are too restrictive. The V10 M's sound really nice with some eismann's on them, I love the deep roar of Chevy aftermarket sounds too and an occasional Mustang exhaust.
