First of, you would not get any money back from it and it will never be the
"exclusive" GT2 that they are.
If I were to build a car it would be for the race circuit and yes the 996TT would be a great choice, when you can do all those things you mentioned.
I duhno, to each its own I guess, but a GT2 will always be something more than any X50, Turbo S out there, as far as stock is concerned.
Did Porsche charge too much for them, hell yeah.
I think the 996GT2 should have been the 911 Turbo, old world Porsche power with no elctronic gizmos and reduced weight. Like the original 930 was. The 996TT/997TT are too soft stock and need too much aftermarket goodies to make them feel like the sport cars they are capable of being.

The real reason why I mentioned the difference between the two cars was not in order to say whether the price difference is justified or complain about it. What I meant is that the 996 is a very friendly and forgiving car. THe GT2 is not THAT different to be scary and terrifying. As every RR porsche, it just needs some time to get used to it.
Bajo, I know as soon as Porsche announces the GT2 will be released, you'll rush to the dealer with your deposit. then when it finally does come in, you'll need someone that'll just ride with you for hours. you'll need someone who can appreciate the car, i'd like vollunteer my services. i can clear my schedule. think about it.

Raul, yes sir I would need that help for sure. Looks like we are gonna have to wait awhile for that to happen though.
I probably will not be rushing in there with a deposit either, I will let the "ballers" take care of that, and will probably buy it after all the smoke clears and save some money.
Having said that I sue hope Porsche doesnt drop the ball and do a "kindler, gentler GT2". Than it will be a 996GT2 for me, you hearing me Vincent,
