Im November: 911 GT2. Der ist mit zirka 530 PS noch stärker als der Turbo (480 PS), mit Heck- statt Allradantrieb noch leichter ...und mit neu abgestimmtem Fahrwerk noch härter.

Thanks everyone who replied about the information, but I have seen it all as you all have.

Exterior
Wheels/Tires
Turbo/Intercooler/Higher boost etc...
Less fat
Hardtop/Clubsport
The hard 2 get "911"
The Widowmaker (If you're not an experienced driver and under-estimate this model of 911)
and so on....

And I think it has been proven that the GT2 engine is the same as the Turbo S/X50 engine (even turbos and intercoolers).
As for "The widowmaker" I believe that when it comes to drivability and effort/attention required the GT2 is right in the middle between the 996TT and the 996 GT3. Most of the terror caused by the car is result of the hype about it. First time I drove one I thought "OMG I am gonna die etc". But the next when I had gotten over it it was just a great fast good handling car.
Most your money goes to exclusivity. If you look for bang for the buck buy a 911 Turbo and replace Suspension, Brakes, Convert it to RWD, get bigger turbos, intercoolers, software and exhaust and maybe the GT2 rear end. Only drawback is that you won't have a warranty anymore but you know, cars don't die suddenly. When something breaks, well you fix it.

I think the GT2 depreciation will not be lost on the customers who bought them or the dealers. Maybe the pricing will be more realistic, but since there is no CGT to compete with it, I suspect $200K is likely.

Why would you want to buy a 996TT and do all those things to it if what you want it to be like the GT2????
First of, you would not get any money back from it and it will never be the
"exclusive" GT2 that they are.
If I were to build a car it would be for the race circuit and yes the 996TT would be a great choice, when you can do all those things you mentioned.
I duhno, to each its own I guess, but a GT2 will always be something more than any X50, Turbo S out there, as far as stock is concerned.
Did Porsche charge too much for them, hell yeah.
I think the 996GT2 should have been the 911 Turbo, old world Porsche power with no elctronic gizmos and reduced weight. Like the original 930 was. The 996TT/997TT are too soft stock and need too much aftermarket goodies to make them feel like the sport cars they are capable of being.

Me I dont care as long as its not a slushbox, that just wouldnt be right in a GT2, no way no how. I dont even wanna talk about the stupid sunroof.
Guess nothing new about is out anymore, we will just have to wait and pray.
