I was wondering if anyone has heard anything more on the 997GT2.
Seems like after the release that the GT3-RS is coming here nothing more has been said about the GT2.
Besides a video of what was supposed to be the 997GT2 I havent seen or heard anything more about it.
Last rumour was that Porsche was going to unveil it late 2006 and here we are and not even a peep.
Any info would be great to see/hear if anyone has heard anything.

DJ, read your reply to the 997TT Cabriolet about "ask and ye shall recieve" and you got some info I know you do (I pray) let see it or hear it.

I hope we get it.. But if we dont and its a ROW car. We will most likely import one.. Will need to be white- black interior with yellow stitching.. To match our existing Gt2 of course..

 

There will be sunroof on the 997GT2.

I dont care about GT2 or Turbo anymore.. The only thing i wait for is the new PDK gearbox..

 

Wait, you dont care about the Turbo/GT2 but your sig says "1st on list for GT2 if its a PDK" ?

Me I dont care as long as its not a slushbox, that just wouldnt be right in a GT2, no way no how. I dont even wanna talk about the stupid sunroof.
Guess nothing new about is out anymore, we will just have to wait and pray.

That car most likely has a sunroof because its a test mule and built of a standard Turbo chassis...

I never did understand why they call it a "slush box"?

 

I really think that it is bull**** that it comes with a sunroof ... I am almost certain that the specs will be very nice.

 

In order to compete with fantastic 997GT3/RS the new GT2 must and have to be extraordinary.
