Exclamation 997 TT PowerKit Update....

Latest rumor

997 Turbo Powerkit is coming with estimated power is 510-515 HP, slightly below the power figure of the upcoming 997 GT2 (most likely 520-530 HP). No availability date known yet but rumors indicate summer or autumn 2007, maybe even earlier.

There is also a very good chance that the powerkit will not be retrofittable

Good news...at this point considering the Turbo PK will get 510-515 hp as you said, than the GT2 should be around 550 hp...I hope they don't want the Turbo to be as fast, or faster than the GT2!

~17k for 30-35HP?? uuhhh, no thanks.. even if it does come with a warranty.. I'd rather go to a reputable tuner like some of the outstanding guys here on the forum.. too bad I don't have one nearby though (Middle East)

Just do an ECU flash for basically nothing compared to the cost of this powerkit.

wow, that's crazy. i didn't realize the x50 was that much. you could spend less than that at protomotive or evo and come out with much better performance and equipment.

you can spend the same amount at evo (plus install) and get all of this (stage 4) and their sport intercoolers. if you know you're gonna seriously mod the car, you'd save more money in the long run buying it as close to a base model as possible.

Ruf are opening a huge factory in Bahrain around March or April...

they will be capable of building Ruf VIN cars, same as Pfaffenhausen. so upgrades to Porsches old and new would be pretty easy i'd think...
