Would like to remove the Grey color from my 997 turbo wheels

They look good as is on a silver or grey car!!

but on other color cars to me the grey trimming on the wheel's from most angles just makes the wheels look dirty (dull) if you will ,,of course IMO

does anybody else feel this way??

I would like to either have the wheels polished entirely ,, or maybe color code just the trim the same color of my car (Red) instead of the Grey??

Ask your dealer about option XD9 (Rims and Caps in exterior color). In the US its a $1290.00 option but some folks were unable to order it all because Porsche would just reject it. I would look into it anyway, it gives your car more character, especially red! good luck.

The stock wheels are great for lazy guys like me. The wheels are amazingly easy to keep looking "clean". I just wipe off the face only and they look great without having to clean all the crevices.

You would hate my wheels... LOL

DSUNNY - Do you want them to be all polished or maybe a single color? You could look into powdercoating them... I think the work to get the gray paint off of them would be a major PITA.

Your wheels look kinda similar to the CS wheels on my 430. You are right. I usually leave my CS wheels dirty than risk having a backache for days from the squating

We've done a few sets to bring that grey color tone in the interior parts of the wheel to body color.

It looks stunning on most colors. Do you have the car now?

Hello Eric,
yes i do......... Guards red/ black

Thinking of replacing the Grey wheel trim with ( Red ) Just a little nervous though,
thinking it might look a little too flashy or cheap???

It might look great!!

The ones you have done were any red??
was it a big procedure?

Any info highly appreciated.....

Not good with Guards. Midnight is stunning, Lapis, Seal is too close to what's there now, Meteor dead on match, we did one with Black, one with Speed and a few Midnights. Cobalt is pretty bright too, it works best with darker colors like Midnight, Atlas, Black.

Yes, it's a ***** of a process to do these right. Once we have the wheels in hand, it's about 3 days just to get the prep done right, and because it's almost all handwork, you cannot go straight through, that means lots of breaks and major labor time.

But when it's done, it looks freaking awesome.

Do the Grey centers in Black. It'll look much better than stock.

OK, you asked. I TOLD you not to ask!

It will look hideous. Not the day of delivery, mind you, but anytime thereafter.
