Engine problem

I had the exhaust installed two days ago, yesterday I was driving and heard a large sound in the back, sounds like i hit something, but I did not. I pulled over and the engine stopped. I tried restarting it, the rpm goes up and down two times and then it drops to zero. What do you think the problem is?
If i bring it to dealer, do you guys think I should remove the exhaust? I am afraid that the dealer would void my warranty.

First try to replace the stock exhaust and see if the problem still occurs. If so, then take it to dealer. If not, then see your exhaust installer and notify him of the problem. Or, you could always do that first. Just my .02

I am no car expert but I don't think exhaust related. There again I am a brokeanic. Good luck and agree with Hussain.

Who installed the exhaust? Take it to them before the dealer.

Probably not the exhaust.. Have it checked out before you go to the dealer.

You dont want to give them ANY reason to deny you warranty.

That would be my guess - one of the hoses going from the turbo to the intercooler or from the intercooler to the intake popped off.

anyhow, I think Fabspeed screwed me over. Now I have to pay money to have it removed. I have to pay 500 dollars for towing it to a shop. omg

Lamvince - How did Fabspeed screw you over? Did they do the install or was it an independent company?

How would the exhaust do this? That doesn't make a lick of sense.

$500 for a tow (are you using a plane??) and why are you getting the exhaust removed?? Your dealer should not give a rats *** if you have an aftermarket exhaust!

FYI, I would be a little more careful about suggesting that Fabspeed or any other supplier for that matter "screwed" you over with out knowing the facts on why your car scrapped out!!

The only person that looks to be getting screwed at this point is Fabspeed themselves for you trashing their name!!
