Fellas...what would you do and which looks better on my 997tt? I am leaning towards the RS wheels to give it a all black look but no lip....

hi

I'm getting BBS RS-GT (diamond black) next week. I can send you some pics. PM me your mail address if you want.

OEM turbo wheels might be lighter than GT3 ones.

good choice! You cant go wrong with BBS. I like the look of the GT3 RS wheels in black but since my TT is not a RS...not sure how that would actually look. Anyone can do Photoshop? ;-)

The iforge would give it a nice look with polished lips all around....

One you might think about if looking to reduce wheel weight is the HRE C21. I have been tossing around the idea of new rims, but want to gain something besides just good looks. Where can I can a photo of the Hyper black essen?? Who sells that?

All those wheels are nice, just remember the vehicle dynamics involved.
The GT3/RS wheels were designed for a lighter, RWD car with almost 100HP less, hence they are a cast wheel. Your current wheels, while maybe not the best looking, are stronger and lighter than the GT wheels. It would have been a lot cheaper for porsche to cast the TT wheels, they chose not to. When the GT2 comes out, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts the wheels will be forged.
No coment on the iforged wheels

hmm ... they're very different looking wheels. i would go with the gt3 wheels but they're going to be heavy than stock.

keep in mind that it's very likely that the gt3 rs wheel will be an option on future 997tt like the 996 gt3 wheel was an option on later 996tt production.

atomic80 has the gt3 rs wheels on his tt. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...&highlight=gt3

I agree forged over cast usually carries the day for me...but the weight difference between the GT3 and TT wheels is only about 2lbs per wheel and if we believe that the engineers designed the GT3 wheels for GT activities I wouldn't think there would be a problem strength-wise - a little bit extra weight yes. Aesthetically, I like the GT3 wheel better than the TT - personal preference as always.

For cruising : Rinspeed C5 "20s
For Track: Kinesis F110 "19's
Factory Look: GT3 RS

still have to see some DPE's on a 997TT...

the lipped wheels look 1000% better IMO than any non-lipped...especially porsche stockers. Iforged are sweet, and the hyperblack finish is sweet.

I've had several different wheels on my 996tt, but the iforged are my favorites...
