No show at the Auto show (NY)....

Just came back from the NY Auto Show....

Did I miss something on another floor?!?

The 997TT, GT3 and just about everything else was a no show!

Even the Cayman was a base model!

What the hell?!? It was the weakest Porsche booth I have ever seen.

I hope I just missed some other Porsche exhibit....

Two weeks ago Denver had a TT, Targa, Cab, Cayman, Boxster, coupe and a Cayenne. Both the TT and the Targa were labled "not for sale" PCNA cars.

The only two shows that Porsche (and every other manufacturer for that matter) really cares about here in the U.S., is the L.A. and Detroit auto shows. L.A. Auto show is always awesome, in addition to the multiples of each model, they usually have a nice showing of vintage race cars from 550's to 962's and a current factory car like a GT3Cup or occassionally a concept car.

Agree with Scott, the only two domestic shows worth going to are LA and Detroit.

I dont think it was worth it. Nothing to really see other than the Vantage Cabrio, Lambo Superleggera and new Viper SRT10. I am not big on Mercs, the Porsche booth was obviously horrible, BMW disappointing, etc, etc.

If I were you, I would spend an couple of hours at Manhattan Motorcars down the street as opposed to the Javitz center. Much better stuff on hand.

I went on Sat and the Sales rep told me she would be rich if she had a $1 for every time someone asked to see the Turbo, Porsche really missed the boat at this show.......

Just spoke to a friend who was at the Vancouver auto-show and same thing. Porsche had a lame presentation...a Cayenne and something else, he could not remember. No Lambos or Ferraris that he could remember, but plenty of Mercs, AMG's etc.

Not too surprising really as Canada I am sure is only a small market to them (I know; I used to live there, where these types of cars are unGodly expensive), and Porsche only now seems to want to go where the money goes....
