Furthermore, you can't usually detect minor damage at night in bad lighting and you feel and look like a jerk giving your car the "white glove" treatment every time you go out.
Guess we'll be taking my wife's car out for dinner from now on.

Last year I went out at end of June and bought a Toyota Matrix for 20% off the sticker for $14,800. Its great for taking everywhere,, a lot of utility in this car and no one will steal it. A perfect car for use in the city, to malls, to Hm Depot/Lowes.
For the money this is one of the best cars I ve ever purchased. I am averaging 36 mpg on regular gas (5 speed manual).
I would never let a valet near my Porsche.
When we go out I have no problem pulling up in the Toyota.
The best news is I can only lose $14,800,, thats it.. lol

I only trust a few valet areas where I know the guys personally and I have their cell phone numbers to call them when I come up. Personally I don't care which car I drive up because I want it to be treated the same way. Curbing a wheel that I have no rashes on is still curbing a wheel. I made the mistake a few times of allowing a valet because it was raining and I didn't notice until the next day that they curbed a rim and a put a nice door ding in it. I was furious but since I drove off - I couldn't do a thing. Lesson learned.
