do exotic colors produce more tickets
do exotic colors produce more tickets
I have seen some unusual color schemes, usually gt3 etc. over the several months I have been on this site. Although I would like to drive one ocassionally, don't think I would want all that attention the rest of the time. Also maybe hard to sell when trade in time comes around. I just wonder if those with these schemes seem to attach more law enforcement attention. It would seem to me to be asking the law enforement types to be on the lookout but maybe I am wrong.
It "simply" depends on how you drive your car...I'd probably try to stay quite considering the car I'm driving, and how fast it goes.
You will always find some bast*** trying to ticket you...but it would happen with any car IMO

The laser gun and radar gun are color blind
I suppose the louder the color the more likely you are to be spotted in a crowd and picked out for a speed check by laser but in the grand scope of things I think it makes little difference.

Cops I've worked with all say that white cars stand out the most... And they also said they never went after sports cars in particular unless the driver was being a dick (weaving, chopping people, etc.).
I think amongst a crowd of vehicles going down the same highway, a bright/exotic color puts you at a disadvantage, esp. for the bored officer sitting in his cruiser, just waiting for an excuse. But a candy yellow car and a dull brown car travelling at 65mph, are both still travelling at 65mph...obey the speed limit and the color shouldn't matter.
Just for ****s and giggles, studies indicate:
Black cars denote an aggressive personality or someone who's an outsider or rebel.
Silver cars indicate someone who's cool, calm and slightly aloof.
Green cars can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies.
Yellow cars signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving.
Blue cars are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver.
Gray cars represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work.
Red cars denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive and who think, move and talk quickly.
Pink cars are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers.
White cars represent status-seeking extrovert drivers.
Cream cars are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners.
