Wheels are NOT Arctic! Haven't been for a very long time.

 

Arctic calls for a drop of violet in it. When I painted my car I left the violet out to have a pure silver.

That's true, and this certainly is the TT forum - though, I don't believe he said specifically that he was ordering a Turbo. I, however, was speaking in general. The 997TT's polished wheels are unique among Porsche wheels. If I was considering any other model painted GT Silver, I would have the wheels painted GT Silver, too.

Also, if aftermarket wheels for any GT Silver car are a future consideration, most are painted something closer to Artic than GT Silver... unless polished or custom painted, of course.

 

If you're going to pay extra for Silver variant, which I wouldn't, get Polar Silver.

 

I gotta agree...getting artic silver was a no brainer for me. Saved $2K for
same quality paint, classic Porsche color and easier to see at night.

 

The new optional wheels (sport deisgn?) on the NA 911s come finished in GT silver if that helps...

I love both, but really glad I got GT Silver.

The 991TTS in GT Silver does look awesome. I'm not mad at him..lol

 

Oops, sorry. Wasn’t showing off at all. Did not realize I was in the 997 TT forum. I used to have a 997 TT though.
