GMG exhaust, FAB speed, AWE...cost

I'm looking to change the exhaust once my 997tt arrives and I've been looking at the 3 choices in the title. Now all are made in the USA. All are more or less similar in construction and last time I checked made from the same raw material. So, why does the GMG cost som much more? I saw it on their site for $4999. That's even more than Milltek and they're made in EUROPE. That at least makes sense since the dollar to euro conversion is crappy right now (basically 30% more).

What gives. Why the extra $1200 for the GMG?

AWE, is making good power and its got a nice sound to it with virtually no drone. Two thumbs up for AWE. Tubi is about the same as AWE sound wise, have not seen any HP numbers for the Tubi so can't say if its better or worse. But no matter what you choose get software makes the car a beast.

While I await the turbo's arrival I am going to try to have a real world listen/audition of some of these systems. I figure I will get exahsut first simply to reduce EGT before I go ahead with software......besides, I plan to do things in stages so I keep it new and exciting. No need to rush into everything all at once.

And yes, I am in Miami. Any dealer or person willing to offer me a listen would be greatly appreciated.

In our opinion Fabspeed, AWE, Milltek and Champion are great sistems we are waitting to test GMG by the end of next month.

AWE makes an incredible sound as well as Fabspeed, Tubi is a little bit quiter.

I think AWE and GMG sound the best of the selection, though I cant really judge the GMG directly against AWE as AWE has more video's of their muffler.

Go for AWE it sounds terrific and just how a Porsche should sound.

gmg probably has higher cost because of lower volumes. however good it looks (even with some apparent technical advantages), i doubt it's worth the $1200 difference over awe and $1900 difference (discounted price) over fabspeed.

awe and fs makes approx.20hp and 30tq at the real wheels, reduce egt by approx. 100* and significantly reduce turbo lag. awe has some technical advantages like a crossover pipe and expansion chambers. your choice will depend on your preference of sound levels; awe is quieter than the fs quiet version.

if you really want to make power with the best bang for the buck, go with fs without quad tips and put the money you save into a giac flash.

EDIT: i went with fs because of its more aggressive low rpm sound and lower cost.
