Just thought I would share some pictures of my Dad's new turbo that we picked up last week in Chicago. I only had a chance to drive it breifly but my initial impressions are that this car is incredible! I thought my Z4 M Coupe was fast but this thing blows it out of the water. I don't think this car has power it more like it has thrust.... once those turbos ignite it like riding a saturn five rocket! I haven't had a chance to try it on any turns yet but I think I am going to come home from school in a couple weeks and spend a weekend with the car. Options on the car are as follows..

Yeah some guy ordered it for him self but when the car came in his wife would not let him take delivery of the car. I would like to shake the guys hand who ordered this turbo and kiss his wife on the lips for not letting him take delivery of it.

I think there may be one or two.... for some reason the guy never ordered the crest in the headrest. The dealer also told us that he had it optioned out to a $178,000msrp but then he backed it down a bit.

my brother and I brought our M Coupes to one of the Edgewater meets and did the run out to Jones beach with a couple 6Speeders. I'll be sure to get my dad and the turbo out to a couple meets this summers.... gotta for sure hit some track days this summer too.

Well let me start of by welcoming you to the forum!, Congradulations to you and your father on his new 911 Turbo (997).I really like how his car turned out with the full leather treatment and the yellow stitching really looks terrific, I just wished it has the Backseats in Carrera White rather than Stitching.

 

First I'd like to say I am in complete awe of your dad's new ride. I absolutely am in love with the new line up of 997's (DREAMING possibly DROOLING)...

Second, (Off topic) I saw your avatar and made me want to post. You wouldn't have happened to have AutoX'd your Z4M and your brother in his Blue one at the 5/12 SCCA NNJR Event did you?? -Kyle
