Well FWIW I have them in my Evo and 22k later they look as new (on stock Recaros). I will never go all leather again, love the grip and feel of Alcantara and I plan on spec'ing my turbo with them. I would venture a guess it ages better then leather due to no cracking or wringling etc. you sometimes see on leather.

Depends on the colour I guess. I have "silver" alcantara in my S4, which is basically off-white. The driver's seat is definitely dirty looking in comparison to all the other seats, but I love alcantara...warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and grips you like nothing else when you want to have a bit of fun. I've heard those Mr. Clean sponges (can't recall the exact name right now) clean up the alcantara nicely, but I personally haven't tried it yet.

On my Recaros, no, wears great (after 22k) and look as new. No butt imprints either. Im a fan of the stuff for the centers.

I love Alcantara, but I understood that when you order you cannot do it for the adaptive sportseats

Does anybody know if that is true ?

Mike

Agree with all the other comments...I see by your avatar that you have a young son-make sure he doesn't get any chewing gum on the alcantara and you'll be okay. I found out the hard way in my evo.

That sucks, have to look for an aftermarket solution, I really want both the adaptive seats and Alcantara
