Thumbs up White turbo avaliable

Not affiliation,

Want to let everyone know that there is a new white turbo avaliable. It is nicely option.....the price is around 131K I think.

If interested give a call to Don Rosen Porsche to get further info. Speak with Keith Shaw at 610 279-4100. I thought I would pass this info on to fellow 6speeders. Hopefully the car goes to a good home.

Just as an FYI...I had a great experience with Don Rosen for my 996 but when I called them to inquire about a 997 turbo the sales manager basically blew me off and never called me back after I spoke to him...pretty sad as I just bought it somewhere else.

Funny thing that....I've visited 2 dealers and got similar treatment. I guess sales must be THAT great. Finally found a great dealer, helps to know the new GM which made it a no brainer. My wait is longer but for a better Porsche experience its all good.

I don't quite understand the method to the madness and how sales people decide whether a customer that walks in the door or calls is legit or not. I get shunned all the time when I walk through a showroom door, most likely because I'm relatively young and during the weekends (when I'm checking out cars) I'm dressed very casually (jeans, sneakers, t-shirt). When I bought my benz I went to Barrier in Bellevue (east of Seattle). They basically ignored me, and when I asked if I could SIT an SLK 55 AMG, they said only if I place a deposit!! I coudln't believe it (BTW - Barrier porsche so far has been kewl to work with). I proceeded to go to Phil Smart in downtown Seattle. They treated me well and took me seriously. I paid a deposit and I ended up buying my AMG in cash about 2 weeks after my deposit. That sale could have easily went to BArrier if they would have treated me nicely. You would think that in Seattle with all the MS and dot com money sales folks would learn that young bucks that dress casually have a little cash...

With respect to the original post, can you list options and maybe some pictures? Thanks.

I do not think that sales are that good, I have had similar experiences with different brands, I think the sales people think they can analyze the amount of money you got to spend is based on your dress code (they must have missed the car I was driving into their parking lot ).

Wrong !!!!

Nice exception to those experiences were Champion Porsche and all Lexus dealers I went to.

So they got my dough

One thing that PCNA has seemed to have forgotten when training employees...it's called the early 1990's, when sales were dim and so bad that Porsche actually LOWERED the prices on all models INCLUDING the Turbo. Salesmen are the face of Porsche, in most cases, they're the only contact that the customer has with Porsche, so to have them shunning customers or taking for granted that someone else will come along to snap up the car will come back and bite them in the ***. Though they're currently the most profitable car company in the world, it wasn't all that long ago when they were a fledgling company that was vulnerable to a takeover/buyout/merge. Porsche, please don't forget who your customers are, we brought you out of the red and back into the black, don't forget or you could end up back where you were in the early '90s again.

I dont think salesman last long at each dealer and often bounce around. Might be part of the cause for lack of relationship building. I mean its not like a Honda dealer with tons of customers kicking tires. Each time I have been to various Porsche dealerships Ive been one of 2-4 max in there.

Yeah, I've had similar experiences at Porsche dealerships before. One time I was ignored for a good 20 minutes before someone decided to come up and talk to me. Bad experiences at a dealership just leads me to car forums to find out who should get my business.

Guys

If anyone lives in Central Fl or close by, visit Porsche of Melbourne and as soon as you open the door you will meet a salesperson.

No one will ignore you there and they will treat you with deference..

I am amazed by their outstanding customer service. They are a new Dealership and I hope the service always stays at the level it is at now.

I was 100% satisfied with the way they treated me.

They dont do JD Power Surveys anymore with Porsche so I dont get to rate them. I guess Porsche doesnt need the feedback like they did with my 993 and 996 purchases. Wonder why they dont participate in JD Powers anymore on new car purchases??

I think the worse experience I ever had was when I walked into RBM of Atlanta, GA and was looking at the E500 a few years back. I was debating between that or the Lexus GS430. I had heard of their horrible service but I they were down the street from where I live so I walked in there and it was not very busy. There were 8 sales people talking to each other and for about 20 minutes or so I was not even greeted. The receptionist/Admin was not at his/her desk and the sales people just looked at me. The receptionist came back but probably assumed I was being helped or didn't ask for any when it was offered and left me alone. I finally went up to her and said I have been here for 20 mins and not a single person has even helped me or approached me. The next thing that happened was what really pissed me off. Instead of sending me ANY of the sales people that I saw just yapping away - they went to the back and got an Asian Sales Person to assist me. Like it we would strike a commonality because I was Asian. I asked for the manager to tell him what was happening and guess what? He was one of the guys standing around. Needless to say I walked out and laughed at them.

They are a big dealer and I guess they don't need the business. I went and picked up the Lexus the next week when it came in.

What a bunch of bafoons!

Okay that was my .02 cents.

My converse story:

In 1995 I went to a VA dealership, got in the door and in 5 mins, no one would come near me nor look at me. I was wondering ,, WTF did I do. When you go to a Toyota or Honda dealer you cant keep em away..

So, I shouted out, ANYONE here want to help me? I was a bit ticked off and left. No one followed me out the door to my car,, lol

I then drove to to MD - Tischer Porsche and bought my guards red 993 and went back a few weeks later to the VA dealership and showed the GM what I had purchased in MD due to his staff profiling thinking I didnt fit the Porsche buyers mold.

The VA dealer got better!! I bought my 996 from them 8 years later. I got instant recognition when I visited them in 2003. All was forgiven and forgotten.

justin-same experience here with don rosen-i called them august of 06-spoke with a salesperson who told me that they weren't even interested in talking sales until they knew more about their allocations. he took my number and told me that he would get back to me. obviously, he never called. to be fair, i wound up afterwords on 3 lists, with 3 $1000 refundable deposits. after i obtained an october 06 build slot from princeton porsche, and called the 3 dealerships whose lists that i was on, miraculously, all 3 wanted to offer me a build slot. they didn't take me seriously until i told them that i had a viable alternative to them.

I work at Langan Porsche in upstate NY. I have heard some long time customer's horror stories about previous "snubs" by ex-salespeople. The few salespeople we have here try to recognize people and help them as quickly as possible. At the same though, we do not want to come off as pushy and overbearing.

Of course I'd be more than happy to help anyone out that is on the hunt for their Porsche.
