Egyptian 997turbo vs. F430

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=154834

Take a look at this. I am quite surprized by the results. What surprizes me even more is an SL55 beat the turbo. Hard to believe that when I have ran against an SL 55 and killed it.

Absolutely right. For those people that get a kick out of these kinds of comparisons - good for them! But there are so many variables like driver skill level, tyres, car setup, fuel type (octane number), driver aids on or off, mods etc etc. that to draw any truly meaningful conclusion is impossible.

I noticed the link I posted on this thread is a similar story to the F430 eaten alive by 997 thread that is posted here on 6 speedonline. Look at the pictures from both threads.

Performance wise the 430 and 997TT are about the same. This has been confirmed by various tests. Some have found the 997TT slightly faster ( Ring time the 997TT is faster by about a second) others have found the 430 slightly (I believe Road & Track and Motor Trend). Suffice it is to say they very close. Enjoy whatever car you own.

They are close ,but the turbo is faster which ever way you cut it..there does seem to be some huge differences in ferrari 430 performance though, some are significantly faster than others.BUt the guy saying the sl55 is faster ..what a joke
