RON-MON-AKI and on top of that (RON+MON)/2 - looking for Racefuel for EVT-690R!

Having had EVT-690R kit installed, I started to wonder the octane differencies in US and in Europe. Evoms clearly states that to achieve maximum performance, the 690R -kit requires 103 octane "Racefuel".

After studying the allmighty internet, I've learned that in US actual octane is Anti-Knock Index (AKI) and it is some digits lower that RON in Europe.

Now my question is that is our premium 98 RON == 103 octane Racefuel in AKI?

And if not, how much is 98 RON in AKI?

Additional Quiz for forum's European members: Do you really think that Shell VPower really is 100 RON? I've my doubts about this (I'm working in advertising industry...)

GIAC has different mapping for Eurofuels, how much this affects this matter - beats me.

Internet-Engineers - the stage is all yours!

Wikipedia has some very useful info about various RON's & MON's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating
