What type of material did you use? I assume you used a spray on fabric die?
Normal rattle can paint will not stay flexible and may look good initially, but will crack and start looking bad shortly as the paint finishes drying and hardening. They do make bumper paint, and a rubberized sealer, but I'm not sure how well they will bond to fabric.
The other thing to worry about is if the die is UV fast so that it will not fade in the sun.
