Building my 08

Just agreed this weekend to a February build slot. Here's what I'm thinking having spent a lot of time reviewing prior posts and color combos (this assumes no color choice changes for 08):

- Meteor
- Cocoa
- LSD
- painted washer nozzles
- adaptive sport seats
- porsche crest in headrest
- heated seats
- sport chrono
- mats
- rear wiper
- thicker wheel
- satellite radio mod from Cayenne (dealer will sort)

Tempting, and I can't decide:

- paint or leather rear center console
- dead pedal in metal
- stainless entry

The car will be my only one (I live in Manhattan). Had been waiting for a GT3 allocation which may or may not come but frankly the Turbo makes more sense for lots of reasons if one only has one car, e.g, it works in the rain and plausibly the snow. Driving one this weekend sealed the deal. As I have with two prior S4 Avants, the car will do 4-6 driver schools annually at WGI, VIR, LimeRock, etc.

Appreciate any thoughts. I'm pretty excited....

If you want the painted console, save a few bucks and do it after the fact for half the factory option. We supply dealers with these units all over the country. Otherwise, leather is cool.

Stainless entry sills are a no-brainer, do it, you'll be glad you did.

Meteor and Cocoa is a great combo, you'll love it!
Also consider the sport shifter and leather door finishers and console lid logo.
I'd do that instead of the dead pedal and the door sill.

Meteor is a sweet color although take a really good look at Slate. There was a Slate 997TT @ Napleton this weekend that was sweet.

Go for the leather rear console if you want a more elegant interior look. Don't forget option CDZ to visually tie the shifter to the PCM. Unfortunately, Atomic80 alerted me to this option too late for me to change in 2008 order . Pic courtesy of Atomic80...

However, consider the painted console or a carbon fiber console if you desire a more "sporty" interior.

Yea you should consider these.
Sport Shifter (XSZ), Steering Column Covered in Leather (XNS) is a must I think to completed otherwise the column will be in black plastic... instead.
Get the Stainless steel with illuminated (CXB), Door finisher (XTV) for sure.
I ordered mind in Cocoa too with center leather center console, but if you decided to make it more sporty interior look then painting it might be good choice.
Yea Call Eric (Plug Guy) he can do a good paint job on the center cosole..

Agreed. The door finishers and console lid logo (with console in leather) look great. The short shifter is a blast.

anybody know if the 08 options and codes have changed any? And if so where can I get them online? I am getting ready to order an 08 turbo for a spring allocation. The configurator is confused as usual.

I have the cocoa leather interior on my C4S. The door finishers in leather, the steering wheel column in leather are nice touches, as have been mentioned.

good luck

MikeGee

Nobody has posted a full optionlist yet for 08, but if you go to the German site car configurator, you can get some exclusive option codes, and you can see the results as well, way better then the US web site
