3M on hood question

I did wrapped 1/3 of my hood in 3M. Is the film supposed to go under and around the outer edges so it's not visible on the surface? Mine does not so I just wanted to find out what's what.

thanks.

I'm no expert, but mine does. The only "exposed edge" is the one across the hood.

If a pre-cut kit, then there's usually a 1/8th gap from the edge of all the panels. If a custom job, it should be tucked so you don't see any seams. The installer should have explained your options and the final outlook.

SG, who'd you go to, thinking of just getting my nose done? The hood would look crappy on a dark car.

You know who to go to There's no one who hated this **** more than me what with my fetish for the "feel of fresh, clean paint" (hell, I sound like Hannibal - "It will put the lotion on" LOL).

Seriously chris, do at least the bumper. You won't see it or any seams AT ALL. I don't even mind the line across my hood - From the right angle you see it but plenty of people have not noticed it.
