Noob Questions

My TT only has 160 miles on it, so I may be premature in asking this. (I searched already.)

1) My bumper on my lapis blue (both front and back) seem slightly lighter in shade than the body. Anyone else notice this with other colors?

2) The rear suspension creaks a little once in a while when going slowly over bumps. Will this settle as more miles are put on?

TIA

Rear suspension creak may be a welding recall that alot of us went thru prior to delivery

I had a front suspension creak on delivery of my TT. The dealer said the shock was not properly seated. He fixed and no more noise. Perhaps you have the same issue but in the rear?

Thanks guys
Since the car is a July build, I would have thought that the welding would have been fixed?
The creak is very faint. Was yours loud?
Anyone with thoughts on the paint.

The Lighter shade in the Color of the body is a common Issue , because the Body is painted inside the Porsche Paint Factory and on the other hand the bumper or fascia comes from an outside supplier sequenced in order towards the Production colors of that particular built day. The suppliers have color masters from Porsche to approve the shipment of the bumpers , thus this can be a Quality Issue that was missed by the Supplier . However the Porsche factory could it missed too when comparing both components the Fascia - Bumper when building the car , if you do not like the Color Harmony of this components you should go to the dealer and ask for them to fix it. The risk will be that they paint the Bumper inhouse thus they can mess it for the worst. That is your call ! Is that very noticeable ?

I thought the panels were all painted at the same time? But its just different materials that causes the slight difference in shade?

Thanks for the feedback. I dont think it is that noticebale. More in the front than the back. I think it is the way the shadows fall on the surfaces causing more of the discrepancy in the front. You are right. I would rather live with it (once I come to terms with it) than have the dealer paint it.

Normally there are several components and materials being used in an automobile , the Body is majorly sheet metal , steel or aluminum and the bumpers are from TPO : In other words Plastic Material that needs different bake temperatures in the painting process . The Shade of this materials when painting differs because of several things : Paint Build, Thickness, Grain (not in this case), and the metalic flakes in the Paintings it is a major business to get painted plastic materials right , and Porsche is no exception they has to be one of the bests!
