Flashed guys: What PSI are you boosting?

I have stage III, with giac flash, FS quiet and FS headers. I only see 15 psi of boost, which I think is low.

Please tell me what mods you have and what boost you are seeing in psi.

Thanks!

Jamie, I have the same exact setup. I am getting the same boost levels 14- 15 PSI, under normal driving conditions with sports button engaged. The only way you are going to get more or see more is if you are in a higher gear, with lower engine speeds and then WOT. Give it a try, 6th gear 2k rpm and then punch it.. You'll get 18 with the Up arrow!! Haven't figured out why. Does anyones wheel's spin with the Exhaust and GIAC upgrade?

1.2 bars = 17.4 PSI. LSM what RPM's were you at when you got 1.2 bars in 4th, 5th & 6th?

Is there a difference between evo stage 2 flash and regular GIAC III flash?

eclou and LSM see 18psi = 1.2 bar peaks. Jamie sees 15 psi = 1 bar. Could octane be the problem?

Jamie, what octane are you getting in Canada?

Eclou, what otance and software are you using? GIAC or EVO?

Could this be a wastegate adjustments issue?

Also, diverter valves could play a role.

What do you guys have?

93 octane, std rev limit. GIAC software is the same for the EVO stages. There is no wastegate on the VTG turbos. All boost pressures are held/bled by the vanes

I use Sunoco 93 exclusively. I have stock dv's. I never see above 15.

Back when I had just the Protomotive ECU flash, I would see 18 PSI in sport mode, dropping to 17 PSI in warmer weather above ~5500 RPM. Now, with exhaust / headers / turbo upgrade, I see a solid 18 PSI all the way to 7300

On pump gas? What turbo upgrade exactly? I have STage IV and get 17PSI, falling to 14-15 PSI in high rev range. On 100 octane and GIAC race program, the boost holds longer. I've never seen 18 PSI.

On 93 octane pump, yes. The upgrades are: Protomotive ECU, turbos, and air filter; EVOMS headers and clutch; Miltek exhaust.

It would be interesting to get your car on a dragstrip and see how much power it's actually making?

Jamie,

try adding some good octane boost to your car on half a tank of gas. These motors have built in EGT's in the turbine housings that the ECU uses to pull timing if things get too hot. Also, are you at altitude in Ontario?

One other thing to try if you have a modular exhaust like the fabspeed: install cat bypass pipes and see if that changes your boost levels. The cats may be the weak link in an otherwise free-flowing exhaust, and underspec cats will definitely drop your power and boost.
