Has anyone gotten a ticket while having a V1. I'm thinking of getting one and was curious.

 

yes. not personally, but a friend in an audi TT driving in front of us went around a blind corner and was zapped. but, this was no fault of the v1. it was just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. unfortunately, the mute or lack of was hard to find...so it kept beeping while the officer was writing out the ticket =(

 

Twice, both times by laser. Nothing you can do against laser unless you have a diffuser.

Of course, ticket avoidance not guaranteed with a V1. All the coppers have on/off radar. If you stay with a pack, they may beep someone else and you get the spray. You can't speed alone especially not at night. Its a science to watch for potential alerts and fun to experiment with. It takes time to be good with V1. There is still laser. V1 not too good with that...again if behind someone you might catch a stray beam. For laser, best to have the defuser M20. Then there is the daytime airplane mode that is extremely tough to beat. Watching the white lines and a scanner are only defenses. A CB is useless.

 

Has anyone ever tried "Veil" paint?

I have a V1 and a Solo, the Solo is useless.
