Well I hate my parrot set up...how does it sound? My parrot picks up a lot of road noise in the car via the microphone...

 

Perfect companion for a manual tranny. How much does it cost?

 

Perfect except that I already use the cigarette lighter for the small Porsche pocket light that's charged in there.

Nice idea!!! If I really needed a BT system then that'd probably be the best solution for me.

 

Can you give us more details...

*Does it work with your stock speaker?
*Does it play in the NAV screen?
*Does it matter which lighter its in? (center console center dash or under front dash?)

After reading the install manual, it does not look like it works any differently than a Parrot, other than the discrete install.

 

All the answers...

1) It gets installed into the cigarette lighter.
2) the mic is mounted on the upper left hand corner of the windshield
3) there is no display on the PCM
4) you can p/u and drop calls using the one touch button where the piece is installed on the cig lighter.
5) it sounds great on both ends
6) sound comes through the speakers
7) dealer in white plains installed it but Stephano at audio designs in NYC can do the install (212) 255-8900
8) I don't think it matters what socket it's installed in but that's an intuitive assumption
9) It was 799 installed and I dont know the market on it
10) it has voice dialing assuming you can set up on your phone

 

I have checked into this piece as well a while back. Debating if I want to add it to my car as I don't use it enough to justify putting it in. It doesn't have to have a Cig. lighter area but I don't know of many that would allow someone to cut a small opening in their car

A local high end stero shop here can install it for $399.00 for me and $50-65 to wire my V1 as well.

I currently use a BT headset so I don't know how much better this would be.

They do tap into your speaker wires which will play through the mid range/tweeter. It will Audio Mute when a call comes in.
